As we head into our 40th year, your recent gift of $5000.00 for two scholarships in the memory of Kate Svitek will facilitate the school's mission to be the leading source and teacher of wilderness skills and leadership that serve people and the environment.

In April, when Outside Magazine featured NOLS as the leader in teaching wilderness skills, they validated what our graduates already know, asserting, "NOLS's leave-no-trace philosophy and leadership training have set the standard in outdoor education since 1965. Who better to show you the backcountry ropes?"
