Dear Svitek Family,

I wanted to write to you to let you know that I think it is wonderful how you are remembering and honoring Kate with this Memorial Scholarship Fund. I am sad to say that I did not know Kate very well, but I saw how much her friendship meant to some of my close friends. I always admired her, but I didn't exactly know why until I read on the website about all that she had accomplished and, more importantly, all of the people she had had a positive impact on along the way.

I am often reminded of Kate when I find myself truely enjoying the outdoors; whether I am watching a sunset, riding an "epic" mountain bike trail, or just walking through the local park. I like to think, in some way, I am sharing these moments with Kate.

Thank you for continuing her wonderful legacy.
