Dear Svitek Family -

I read the article about the foundation you have set up for Katie in the the Feb 8th Bend Bulletin.

I too, had thoughts of her these past few days, as I worked with her last ski season. I saw her ride up the N. W. Express Chair the day she was later reported missing. I remember seeing her smile and commented on how lucky she was to have the day off to snowboard!

In May 2002, I performed in a dance recital and dedicated a dance to her memory. If you would like a copy of the videotape I will gladly send it.

We have not forgotten her here in Bend. I hope the Mt. Bachelor ski patrol names a run after her - "Kates Corner." Her smile will always be on the mountain for me.
